RANDOM TEIKOKU BABY HEADCANON
kidou, sakuma, and genda all play video games - but rarely with eachother due to different likes and dislikes. genda loves retro western games - spyro, crash bandicoot, mario, sonic, zelda, the works, sakuma enjoys rpgs like final fantasy, and kidou plays soccer simulation and strategy games like civilization or virtual chess. sakuma and genda can play together because their likes cross from time to time, but kidou can never get the hang of their games nor can he stomach the blood in a few of them - even if it's pixelated, like in tenchu: stealth assassins. genda introduced him to spyro once and made sure kidou had 99 lives; by the time he got the controller back, kidou had rescued ten dragons - and only had two lives left. sakuma considers crash, sonic, spyro and the rest to be too childish for their age, but will play final fantasy, tenchu, xenogears, etc. with him, or watch him play.
no one plays with fudou, but he watches everyone else and makes snide commentary.
kidou and sakuma are good at dancing - kidou keeps himself lithe and energetic with things like ddr, while sakuma learned how to ballroom dance at a young age. genda has two left feet, and refuses to prove it. fudou can dance completely - he's the only one who can rival kidou at ddr and enjoys teasing sakuma at parties by dancing with him.
kidou and fudou are both good cooking - but fudou only cooks for himself, never for others. sakuma could cook, if he had better depth perception, so he just lets everyone else handle it.
genda, however, is a master at it - he started to make snacks for the team on suggestion from one of them, and none of them want to go back to being snackless. he doesn't cook on a whim, though; only when the others want him to.
he's also great at baking, and makes cakes for everyone's birthday - he started the tradition by surprising sakuma with one.
if we likened these four to family, genda would be the older brother of all of them - he backs everyone up and is there for them when they're depressed, as well as being good support. he also pats kidou on the head a lot, but that's just because he views kidou as a cute younger brother. sakuma would be the brother who gets in everyone's business, but never meanly - he just wants to be a part of his family's life, and they're okay with that.
fudou would be that cousin everyone loves to dislike, whom they talk about at the dinner table when he's not around.
sakuma and genda are both good at drawing, and they enjoy drawing together - but they don't share their pictures with anyone else because their styles are girly and adorable. kidou only knows how to draw soccer balls and penguins, while fudou can't draw at all.
genda's also suspiciously good at drawing cats.
they all have favorite animals except for fudou - he's not a big fan of them at all, because most animals don't like him either. sakuma and kidou are both fans of birds, and especially penguins - it's kidou's fault that sakuma likes them, too. genda, however, loves all kinds of beasties - except for dogs, because he had a bad experience in the past with one. he's frightened of big dogs as well, and refuses to be in the same room as one. he hates anyone who abuses animals though, and while he values his friends above everyone else, he puts the safety of animals above other people. he owns three cats at home, and also takes care of strays in his area.
when it comes to illnesses, they all cope differently - kidou and fudou pretend they aren't sick at all, though kidou will wear a mask to school if he's contagious. fudou doesn't really care if others catch his sickness. sakuma is fairly normal with coping though - he gets bedrest and suffers a bit, and he's back in a couple days. genda, however, acts like he is dying. theatrics, temper tantrums, dramatizations of his own death - the works. even if it's just a headcold. the first time he ever caught an illness nearly killed him, so he's frightened to death of germs and will refuse to play on the field if one of his teammates is sick - some think kidou began wearing masks when he's sick for genda's sake.
genda is completely aquaphobic - he can't swim, and taking baths is horrible to him, and he almost always has a pocket umbrella in case of rain. kidou calls him daily to make sure he takes a bath, and goes over to make him if genda refuses or denies it.
fudou and genda clash a lot, and it tends to end up in fist fights - and while fudou knows street fighting, his fighting almost always dissolves into scratching, hair pulling, and slaps. genda, however, knows mixed martial arts, so everyone makes sure to split them up before it goes too far. kidou normally gets someone else to do the splitting though, because the last time he tried, he ended up getting pulled into the match and getting harmed.
when genda fights, he gets a bad case of funnel vision - he doesn't even pay attention to who he's fighting, just that he is fighting.
sakuma is good at disciplined martial arts, like tae kwan do, and only uses it as a last resort. unless he's just that angry at genda - but when those two fight, it never lasts long. one or two punches, and they forgive each other; almost like a pair of fighting dogs in a pack.
genda enjoys making terrible jokes - one, because he thinks they're funny, and two, others laugh whether they're terrible or not. they're just that bad.
